Submit to Him

The WORD today (see http://usccb.org/bible/readings/110312.cfm) reminds me to submit myself before God.
Jesus reminds me in the gospel to be humble and not think of myself too much. In today’s world, it is easy to get distracted and focus on worldly gains, for worldly things, for worldly approval. Jesus is telling me to be humble and know what is important. Like St Paul, who was humble and put God’s will first before his own.
In what ways do I seek my will first and not God’s? How do I seek glory, honor and respect in my life? What areas of my life do I need to submit to God?

Father God,
Thank you for today. Thank you for giving me another day to live my life in humble service of you. Lord, I ask that you always remind me to be humble and submit myself to your will, for I know that it is the only way to live. Amen.

Blessed day!

In Christ,
-g-
