In the gospel, we again see an account of Jesus appearing to others. The disciples were afraid when he appeared. Not only because they thought they saw a ghost, but because they thought Jesus was mad at them for leaving and denying him. But again, Jesus proved them wrong. He affirmed them and greeted them with peace! Peace, even before the disciples asked for it. And not only that, Jesus also opened their minds to understand scripture.
That's how much Jesus loves us!
He is willing to forget our sins and weaknesses, and readily offers his peace and love to us. We just need to accept it.
Holy week may be over, but may we make the most of his offer to be at peace with him through the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Father God,
Thank you for today. Thank you for another day to live. Thank you for all the blessings, love and forgiveness you let me experience. Lord, help me make the most out of the sacrament of reconciliation so I would always be at peace with you. Amen.
Blessed day!
In Christ,
