Stronger than a Lion

Daniel answered the king: "O king, live forever!
My God has sent his angel and closed the lions' mouths
so that they have not hurt me.
For I have been found innocent before him;
neither to you have I done any harm, O king!"

inspire me. God is really faithful. He's really got our back. Daniel continued to worship God even if it's against the decree of the king. When some envious people forced the king to have Daniel thrown in the lions' den, Daniel stood his ground. He did not ask for forgiveness, or ask the king to exempt him from the decree. He just had faith in God. OF course, God rescued him and sent angels to close the lions' mouth. How cool is that!

God's great plan cannot be destroyed by the enemy. What the enemy intended for evil, God can turn into something good. In the reading, the people intended evil for Daniel, but God turned it into something great - an event which saved Daniel and gave glory to God. Because of that event, people were converted because the king himself witnessed first-hand God's power.

This shows that when we really trust in God and do our part in praying and getting closer to Him. Daniel continued to pray and had great faith in God in the midst of facing death. Parang sa gospel, when we are prepared, we should stand erect because redemption is at hand. As Daniel was redeemed, we too will be redeemed when the time comes.
