No Easy Way

The WORD today (see http://usccb.org/bible/readings/111413.cfm) reminds me that there is no easy way to glory.

For me, the movie series Rocky gives the best motivation and inspiration to push yourself to the limits to reach your dream. In every movie there will always be a part which shows Rocky Balboa training and pushing himself to be better. The theme and song are probably some of the best inspirational, motivational and pump up songs as you do physical activities. Indeed, there is no easy way to greatness, to glory.

In the gospel Jesus says he will suffer before he comes in glory. "But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected..." If Jesus suffered, so will we, his followers.

May we be positive and instead of focusing on our sufferings and challenges, focus on the greatness and glory waiting for us as we continue to be faithful to Him.

Father God,
Thank you for today. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for protecting and helping our country get back on our feet. Lord, our spirits never be dampened by challenges and sufferings. As we try to get back on our feet, may we first get down on our knees and put you first. Amen.

Blessed day!

In Christ,
-g-
