With All

The WORD today (see http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/032814.cfm) reminds me how we should love God - with all we have got.

They say that if you won't do your best, don't do it at all. And by best, it means you give your all - all you have, all you've got. This is true in different things in life, and in loving God.

In the gospel, Jesus himself said that:

Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.

He wants us to love God with everything - all our heart, soul, mind and strength. All of us, including all our imperfections. He wants us to love him and offer him everything, because only then can we experience his great love and power. As we love him and give him everything, in turn, we will feel his love and power, transforming us and filling us.

Loving God with all we've got is not easy. But it surely is necessary for us to realize and experience all his love as well.

Father God,
Thank you for today. Thank you for another weekend to serve you. Lord, i am sorry for the times i don't love and serve you with all I have. This weekend, together with my brothers and sisters in Christ, I will give you everything I got. Amen.

Blessed weekend!

In Christ,
-g-
