Go and Proclaim

The WORD today (See http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/070914.cfm) reminds us that we are also called to proclaim God's kingdom.

Today, like yesterday, we are reminded that we need to work for God. Yesterday we are reminded that there are only few workers for God. Now we are called to work and proclaim God's kingdom.

We do not need to be missionaries doing full time work in proclaiming God's kingdom. It's very good if we find that in our hearts. But even if we continue doing what we are doing, we can still proclaim God's kingdom - in our workplace, with our friends, with our family. Living in a way pleasing to God is a simple yet effective way of proclaiming God's kingdom. When people see God's goodness through our lives, when people see our peace and strength despite life's challenges, when we live a life that's moral, then in our own little way, we proclaim God's kingdom.

Father God,
Thank you for today. Thank you for another day to live. Thank you for another opportunity to love and serve you. Lord, give me the heart and the will to do your work and proclaim your kingdom not just by words, but more importantly by the way I live my life. Amen.

Blessed day!

In Christ,
-g-
