Roots

The WORD today (See http://usccb.org/bible/readings/121713.cfm), especially the gospel on Jesus' genealogy,  reminds me how important knowing one's roots is.

They say that knowledge is power. The more you know, the more powerful you can be. And knowledge of your roots can help you live in A different way - good or bad.

A normal person, after knowing he or she has royal blood, would begin to live differently. The royal blood in the person will sooner or later be manifested in the way one lives. Same is true with the knowledge that we are children of God, that there is royal blood in our veins. No more will we allow sin to run our lives, and will be confident that the enemy is powerless over us, as we allow God, the one true king, to be God in our lives.

May we always remember that we are children of God, the most high, and live confidently over the enemy.

Father God,
Thank you for today. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for the reminder that I am from you, and that the devil and sin is powerless over me. May I always remember that as i strive to make you God in my life. Amen.

Blessed day!

In Christ,
-g-
