God's in Control

The WORD today (see http://usccb.org/bible/readings/121312.cfm) reminds me that God is in control
In the first reading, he reminds us that he will help us, he will answer us and that he will not forsake us. The psalmist reminds us that God is great in kindness. Yes, we experience hardships, challenges and problems in life – as seen in the first reading, but we should have faith that God is always there, that he will save us, that he will not forsake us.
They say that a day is no day without pain.
In life, we will always experience challenges, especially if we are followers of Christ. Nowadays, there are a lot of issues – corruption in the government, the RH bill, poverty, etc etc. We may lose hope, or we may feel that God is not answering our prayers. We may be overwhelmed by what is happening in our lives, but we should always remember that God listens, and God hears our prayers. He may no immediately answer, but we should have faith that God is faithful and will never forsake us.
What are my concerns in life? What are my worries? Do I feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges? How do I react to all these?

Father God,
Thank you for today. Thank you for reminding us that you are in control Lord, alam naman namin yun eh. We know that you are in control. Sometimes we just get tangled up and distracted by the concerns of the world that we tend to forget it. Help us remember that whatever we are going through, you hear our prayers and that you are in control. Amen.

Blessed day!

In Christ,
-g-
